The St James’s Place Charitable Foundation has made a generous donation of £2,500 towards the refurbishment and expansion of the new Critical Care unit at Royal Preston Hospital.
The donation has been organised by Ralph Platt, Director at Life Matters Wealth Management, a partner practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management in Longridge. Ralph is an avid supporter of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, and in particular the Critical Care team, as his wife Jane Platt is matron on the unit.
Dr Ed Denison-Davies, Consultant at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust leading the refurbishment project, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to St. James’s Place for their generous donation. This will go towards our huge refurbishment and expansion project at the Critical Care unit, where we will be improving our facilities and continuing to deliver services of the highest possible quality.”
On behalf of the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation, Ralph Platt said: “We are delighted we could support the development of the facilities at the Critical Care unit, which will help to provide vital support to patients at Royal Preston Hospital.”
The donated funds will mostly be used to fund ceiling tiles and artwork for the unit, aimed at refreshing the space and making it a more comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff alike.
