An award winning and internationally acclaimed Lancashire photographer has stepped up to the challenge of adding a little laughter to people's lockdown experiences.

Phil Garlington, whose work has previously appeared in top publications including ‘Hello' and ‘OK' magazines was challenged by a friend to create an image which summed up the lockdown experience for many across the country and Phil's response has hit the nail right on the head.

Phil, from Grimsargh, near Preston, is now inviting other amateur or professional photographers to take up the baton and capture their own ‘laughter in lockdown' images.

Eagle eyed people will be able to spot the key ingredients from the last 12 weeks including:
The rainbow coloured shirts
Baking banana bread.
Learning a musical instrument
Walking Ralph the Jackapoo.
Sleeping
Playing with toys
Keeping up with the (daily) news.
Exercising
Cricket
Self-care/pampering
Social media.
Drinking
Dog being constantly fed.
Watching TV
Snacks galore

Phil, who has worked with royalty, celebrities and former Prime Ministers, said: "Lockdown for many has been tough, myself included as my father passed away and we were unable to be there as a family.
"However, after receiving this challenge, I wanted to take the opportunity to show the fun bits of our country's experiences, and what has been happening in so many homes across the nation in such an unprecedented time!"

"There's been incredibly difficult times, but there's been happy times too and this image sums that up for me. I'd be delighted to see what others from across Lancashire have perceived from their time at home and how creative they can get with their images!"
Phil has also been spending the past few months taking images of everyday items around the home and providing photographic tips to people on social media before starting the lockdown photo challenges!
