Nominations are now open for the South Ribble Sports Awards 2020.

The deadline for nominations is Monday 13 April.
The awards are organised by South Ribble Borough Council in association with South Ribble Community Leisure Trust.
A ceremony to present the awards will be held at the Hallmark Leyland Hotel on Friday 10 July.
Councillor Mick Titherington, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Leisure at South Ribble Borough Council, said:
"I can vividly remembered attending last year's sports awards - it was a really enjoyable occasion, very moving and inspirational, especially the Lifetime Achievement Award and volunteer awards which prove that behind every great sportsperson, you will always find an amazing support team making it happen.
"We are hoping to find an equally exceptional calibre of contenders for this year's awards, so I am calling on all sports clubs, coaches, parents, grandparents and players to start submitting their nominations.
"What are the criteria for the awards? Well, we always aim to recognise people that are truly inspirational; motivators and leaders that want the best for their peers and do their utmost to deliver a sporting environment that is fun, safe, and based on the key values of sportsmanship, teamwork, drive and passion.
