ST Catherine's Hospice in Lostock Hall has announced plans to host a glamorous Masquerade Summer Ball.

The entertainment, which includes a charity auction, will take place inside its garden marquee on Saturday June 29.

Supports are encouraged to dress to the nines and enjoy a fabulous night out in aid of St Catherine's, which cares for people with life-shortening illnesses at the hospice and in their own homes.

The ball will include a drinks reception on the lawn, a three-course dinner, live music from the band Boomin', a charity raffle and the auction with top class prizes.

The fundraising event is being sponsored by the Budweiser Brewing Group.

Emma Jacovelli, head of community engagement at St Catherine's Hospice, said: "We're incredibly grateful to the Budweiser Brewing Group for their wonderful support of this summer's ball, which promises to be an amazing fundraiser for our cause.

"The hospice depends on the generosity of our amazing supporters to raise £3.8m of its annual £5.6m running costs.

"So, we're looking forward to welcoming our communities to our ball to show them a brilliant night out, whilst raising vital funds so that we can continue to provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care to local people."
