LONGRIDGE Town's impressive 11-2 win at Holker Old Boys moved them to the top of the Hallmark Security League's First Division North table.

It was the first time that a team has scored 11 goals in a league game since the 28th March 2016, when Barnton beat Whitchurch Alport 11-1.

The result in Cumbria was also the first time in league history that a score 11-2 has been recorded.

Bradley Wicks and Jason Hart both scored hat tricks for Town, and five other players also scored a goal apiece, one of the few occasions in league history where seven different players have scored for one team in a game.

Town have hit the ground running in their first season in the league - showing considerable firepower up front.

In the opening nine league games, Town only once failed to score more than two goals.
